Landmarks are different from locations
This hub is about specific points of interest inside Leonida, things like an airport, a metro system, or a named neighbourhood, rather than the broad regions covered elsewhere on this site. A landmark here means something a real person, whether an official Rockstar post, a press outlet, or a careful community researcher, has actually pointed to and identified in trailer footage, a screenshot, or official artwork. Some of these are as solid as a location gets before release. Others are closer to an educated reading of a few seconds of footage, and this page says which is which.
The ones tied directly to Rockstar’s own words
A small number of landmarks come straight from Rockstar’s own character material rather than from someone studying trailer footage. Leonida Penitentiary is one of these. It is named in Rockstar’s official biography for Lucia Caminos as the prison she is held in at the start of the game, which makes it more reliably sourced than most landmarks on this page, even though it has not actually been shown on screen yet.
The neighbourhoods spotted in trailer footage
Most of Vice City’s named districts come from press outlets studying the two official trailers frame by frame and comparing what they see to real Miami. Ocean Beach and South Beach are both described as beachfront strips built around pastel art-deco hotels and neon nightlife, closely paralleling Miami’s Ocean Drive and South Beach areas. Downtown Vice City is described as the city’s financial core of glass towers, compared directly to Miami’s Brickell district, with a couple of real buildings that press coverage says appear closely recreated. Stockyard is described as an arts and warehouse district echoing Miami’s Wynwood, and Little Cuba is described as the cultural heart of inland Vice City, built around Cuban-American storefronts and street life. A quieter, wealthier waterfront district referred to as the Marina rounds out the group, shown with boats, jet skis, and upscale homes in the second trailer.
Infrastructure that shows up in the background
A couple of confirmed landmarks are less about culture and more about how Vice City actually functions. Vice City International Airport is identifiable in trailer footage by its control tower and radar installation, and a metro system with at least one visible station also appears in official material, though Rockstar has not said whether it will actually be usable as transport in the finished game or is simply there as scenery.
The weakest entry, and why it is here at all
One more district, sometimes called Little Haiti, deserves a direct note. It comes from community map analysis rather than anything Rockstar has confirmed by name, and outlets covering it have been careful to frame it as a finding rather than an official naming. It is included here because it is a real piece of research worth knowing about, not because it should be treated with the same confidence as an airport visible in a trailer or a prison named in Rockstar’s own bio.
Reading this page honestly
None of these landmarks come with an official map position, exact boundary, or confirmation of what players will actually be able to do there. Press comparisons to real Miami neighbourhoods are a reasonable way to understand Rockstar’s design choices, but they are still comparisons, not Rockstar statements. Expect more landmarks to be confirmed, and some existing ones to gain firmer sourcing, as Grand Theft Auto VI gets closer to its 19 November 2026 launch.
