Trailer music, not radio stations

Every song on this hub was identified playing in a piece of official Grand Theft Auto VI marketing, either the first trailer from December 2023, the second trailer from May 2026, or the Netflix Extended Look gameplay preview from August 2026. None of them have been confirmed as part of an in-game radio station. Rockstar has not published a radio station list, a DJ lineup, or a tracklist for any station, and nobody outside Rockstar has heard the game’s radio, because nobody outside Rockstar has played it yet. Treat this page as a record of what has played over official footage so far, not a preview of what you will hear driving around Leonida.

How confident each song is

One song sits on firmer ground than the rest. Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road”, from his 1989 album Full Moon Fever, soundtracked the first trailer, and Tom Petty’s own official site confirmed the placement the same day it happened. That is about as solid as sourcing gets for a trailer song.

Everything else comes from music journalists identifying songs by ear and publishing timestamped breakdowns, mainly from NME for the second trailer and GameRant for the Extended Look. That is a reasonable way to confirm a song, but it is press identification rather than an official Rockstar tracklist, so a small number of these carry medium rather than high confidence. One track, “Skrilla” by Kodak Black, even has a disputed original release year across different music databases, which is noted here so nobody repeats a wrong date as fact.

What plays where

The second trailer leans on a small handful of songs. The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together” carries most of its runtime, while three more tracks, Wang Chung’s “Everybody Have Fun Tonight”, Zenglen and 5 Etwal’s “Child Support”, and Tammy Wynette’s “Talkin’ to Myself Again”, play in brief snippets from a car radio during a driving montage. Press coverage noted the Haitian kompa track in particular as a nod to Florida’s real Haitian community.

The Netflix Extended Look carries the largest number of confirmed songs, thirteen in total, spanning hip hop, soft rock, glam metal, synth-pop, house, dembow, and more. They run from Birdman and Lil Wayne’s “Pop Bottles” early in the preview through to Elderbrook and Bob Moses’s “Inner Light”, which closes the video out over its final monologue. In between, GameRant’s frame-by-frame breakdown ties each song to a specific scene, from Jason and Lucia entering a drug den to a police chase, to quieter moments inside their apartment.

The range on display

Across all 18 songs, the mix runs from 1970s soft rock and 1980s glam metal through to modern house, dembow, and hip hop. That range says something honest about what Rockstar is going for musically, blending decades and genres the way the series always has, but it is not a substitute for an actual radio station lineup. GTA games have historically built entire fictional stations around a curated mix of licensed tracks and voiced DJs, and nothing here confirms which of these 18 songs, if any, end up on one.

What happens next

A radio station list is one of the pieces of information Rockstar traditionally saves until much closer to launch, sometimes only in the weeks before release. Until Rockstar publishes that list directly, any station name, DJ name, or in-game tracklist you see elsewhere should be treated as unconfirmed. This page will be updated the moment that changes.
